Perxel approved for Claude for Startups

On 10 October 2026, Anthropic approved Perxel for the Claude for Startups program, its program for startups building products on Claude.

According to the Claude Startups team, this round brought in 21 times as many applications as the program had received in its first five months, so every application was reviewed again before it was confirmed.

What the program includes

Members get the following (the program page has the exact terms and amounts):

• API credits for the Claude API. They work on Anthropic's own API only, not through AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
• A year of Claude Team for teams new to the Team plan.
• The Startup Stack: offers and credits from other AI companies building on Claude, redeemed with codes in the Claude Console.
• Higher API rate limits, and office hours every other week with Anthropic's Applied AI team.

Where we already use Claude

Claude was in our products before we joined:

• Ask Perxel, on this website. Press ⌘K (or the Ask Perxel button) and ask a question: Claude Haiku writes the answer from the site's own content, with sources you can open. We packaged the search and chat as @perxel/spotlight on npm.
• Perxel AI Translate, a WordPress plugin that bulk-translates WPML posts with the AI model you pick through OpenRouter, Claude included.

What it means for us

Perxel is a web tech studio that works AI-native: seven years of web experience, combined with AI in our daily work, so an idea gets from prototype to finished product faster.

So for us, this program is more than free Claude usage. The cost it takes off our plate lets us:

• Test more before we choose an approach for a project.
• Build more of our own products, like the plugins and tools on our Products page.
• Run the loop faster, from idea to prototype to finished product.
• Grow the whole team's skill with AI, and bring what we learn to client projects.
