DTA Luxury

DTA Luxury is an agency offering luxury travel services in the Australian market, for clients who expect polished imagery, clear information and a refined browsing experience. The design is minimal, with open layouts that let the destination photography lead.

Design direction and technical work

Perxel built the design on WordPress with a lean codebase, and worked with the designer on responsive edge cases and on how to structure the blocks, so the DTA Luxury team ends up with reusable layouts after handover. The move from Figma to production followed the way Perxel works with designers.

The solution: plain Gutenberg

To keep pages fast and the admin pleasant over the long run, Perxel built the theme on plain Gutenberg, the native WordPress block editor.

No heavy page builders

Instead of bulky page-building plugins such as Elementor or WPBakery, which add a lot of extra code and slow pages down, Perxel built the whole interface from WordPress's own block system.

• Speed. No extra CSS or JS, so pages keep loading smoothly.
• Clean code. It follows native WordPress coding standards, which keeps the site safe and easy to update to later versions.

Freedom to manage content

Because the design is turned into standardised Gutenberg blocks, the DTA Luxury team can edit text, swap itinerary images and add new tour packages right in the native editor. Fonts, spacing and colours are fixed to the original design rules, so new content always matches the brand.

Outcome

DTA Luxury is a good example of a services website that is minimal, polished and easy to run. Pairing a minimal design approach with plain Gutenberg gave DTA Luxury a smooth travel website that is easy to manage. It is the same approach Perxel takes in its WordPress website service.
