Atlas Robotics

A starter for B2B and technology marketing websites, built to test the Next.js, TinaCMS and Cloudflare Workers stack on a real multi-language project.

August 13, 2026

Atlas Robotics is a test project researched and built by Perxel. The goal was a solid starter codebase (boilerplate) for B2B and technology websites, testing the Next.js, TinaCMS and Cloudflare Workers stack in a complete product that is ready for production.

Technical figures

  • Page response time (TTFB at the edge, measured on the demo site): < 50ms
  • Structure: 3 main collections (Products, Blog, Pages)
  • Languages: 3-language demo (EN / VI / ZH), the architecture can grow
  • Deployment: Cloudflare Workers (edge network)

Context and goals

This is a common type of project for marketing teams: a fast, SEO-ready, multi-language website that is still easy to update after launch, with no extra CMS or hosting cost as the content grows.

The Atlas Robotics starter aims at three things at once:

1. Fast loading on edge infrastructure

The whole frontend is built on Next.js, with performance and Core Web Vitals handled in the architecture from the start. Responses come from the server closest to the visitor on the edge network.

2. A visual editing experience

TinaCMS lets the editorial team edit text, images and multi-language content, and preview changes on screen before publishing.

3. A flexible multi-language architecture

Languages are handled in the code itself, so a new language can be added without touching the existing structure.

Content management with TinaCMS

Atlas Robotics integrates TinaCMS in its Git-backed mode, storing JSON and MDX files directly in the project's code.

Editing text and images right on the real homepage.

  • Visual editing. Editors change text and images and see the result on screen (live preview) before publishing.
  • A fixed schema. Content is organised into blocks (Hero, Features, Product Catalog, Contact Form) from a schema set in advance. Unlike free-form page builders that drift from the design, the TinaCMS blocks use fixed layouts, which keeps the agreed fonts, spacing and responsive behaviour.
  • Stored in the code. All post and product data lives in the project repository, with no external database to maintain.
The Pages collection in TinaCMS, each page its own Markdown file

Each page is its own Markdown file in the Pages collection, managed directly in the repository.

Built-in multi-language structure

Atlas Robotics handles languages at the architecture level, instead of relying on a third-party plugin as traditional CMSs do (WordPress usually uses WPML).

Multi-language folder structure en, vi, zh in the TinaCMS Pages collection

Content for each language sits in its own folder: en, vi, zh.

  • Lower cost and better performance. A built-in i18n architecture keeps the system light, with no plugin licence fee.
  • A 3-language demo. The test build is set up in English, Vietnamese and Chinese to test the data flow and SEO-friendly URL structure (/[lang]/...).
  • Easy to extend. New languages can be added as needed without changing the existing code structure.

Deployment on Cloudflare Workers

Vercel is the default and the most natural fit for Next.js. For Atlas Robotics, Perxel looked into running the app on Cloudflare Workers through OpenNext.

  • Low running cost. Cloudflare has a generous free plan. At a marketing website's traffic, under 100,000 visits a day, the site has almost no infrastructure cost.
  • A global edge network. Responses come from the server closest to the visitor, keeping response times short wherever they are.

What it means for client projects

Atlas Robotics is a proven technical starter. When Perxel builds for a client, it doesn't spend time setting up infrastructure again. All the effort goes into understanding the business requirements, designing a bespoke interface and tuning the experience for each company.

Researching and standardising the Next.js and TinaCMS stack through this project is also what led to the Certified Developer badge from TinaCMS.
